Be the change: Join the Student Summit at the Green Schools Conference and Expo

The annual Student Summit at the Green Schools Conference and Expo is amping up the volume this year, bringing young leaders from media, business, music and government to work with students to come up with new ways to make positive change.

The summit, “Sparking Up and Speaking Out: Revolutionizing Activism,” is taking place in Denver on Thurs., May 3 and is hosted by the team at Captain Planet Foundation.

By participating, students will learn the skills and get the training to find their voice and begin designing a campaign for the change they want to see in the world. They will learn from leaders such as indigenous environmental activist Xiuhtezcatl Martinez, writer and entrepreneur Erin Schrode, city government leader John R. Seydel, hip hop activist DJ Cavem Moetavation.

Who should attend: Students in grades 9–12

Registration fee: $100

Registration includes attendance at the one-day program; all training materials; and breakfast, lunch and a light dinner on May 3.
