The virtual 2021 virtual Green School Conference is a week away (June 28–29), and it’s gearing up to be the can’t-miss event of the year. We’ve designed the two days of the conference to be engaging and inspiring and have lined up many opportunities to learn with industry experts and fellow green school leaders.
To account for the show’s virtual nature this year, we’ve designed several hosted and curated conversation sessions where attendees can connect with one another and presenters in a casual format. Despite the many recognized benefits of hands-on outdoor education, most learning still takes place inside the classroom, disconnected from the natural world. The pandemic has injected new energy and urgency into this topic, though, as schools have scrambled to adopt outdoor classrooms in response. Join this session to share resources about your efforts to establish green schoolyards and outdoor classrooms and to join us for a facilitated discussion about next steps. Attendees will leave this session with a comprehensive list of resources to create and manage their own green schoolyards.
