The Green Schools Conference and Expo (GSCE) is the only national event to convene the professionals involved in making green schools a reality: people who lead, operate, build and teach in U.S. schools. In 2019, GSCE will be hosted in partnership with IMPACT, a conference for green building leaders in the Midwest region.

Take advantage of this co-located event to engage with the big issues in sustainability and to learn from the leaders in the field. Enjoy workshops, breakout sessions and the chance to network with colleagues from across the country at events such as the Women in Green Power Hour and informal receptions.

Keynote: Art as activism

Bringing a unique combination of expertise in science, sustainability and art, Zaria Forman will inspire GSCE x IMPACT attendees as keynote speaker.

Forman documents climate change with pastel drawings, traveling to remote regions of the world to collect images for her work. She has flown with NASA on several Operation IceBridge missions over Antarctica, Greenland and Arctic Canada, and her ultimate goal is to energize viewers of her art to help preserve the remote landscapes threatened by the effects of global climate change.
