Mr. Deigan serves a variety of roles in the environmental and educational communities throughout the Chicago Region.
Understanding that progress toward lasting ecological impact begins with children; Geoff serves as Executive Director of the environmental focused Prairie Crossing Charter School in Grayslake, IL. Formerly serving as Board President and now Director, Geoff is advancing the public school’s mission of Creating Natural Leaders - believing that children are our best hope to improve the world.
Since 1997, Geoff is President and CEO of WRD Environmental. Being is well-versed in sustainable development, he plays a leadership role on interdisciplinary design and development teams helping clients committed to sustainable development realize their vision.
He is co-founder and Chair for the Institute for Integrated Environmental Education a nonprofit organization that provides development for groups and who want to integrate environmental education into their communities.
He also serves on a variety of Boards from land conservation organizations to libraries and The Illinois Network of Charter schools.
He has spoken at numerous national conferences on sustainable land use, green infrastructure, land health issues and connecting communities to their environment all - to improve the qualities of life in our schools and our communities.
